Important points:

Students need to complete all the above mandatory certifications within the deadlines indicated in the program calendar. The examination fees for the aforementioned mandatory certifications will be borne by the individual candidates.

 Learning Environment and Pedagogical Approach

The pedagogy of this program will be practice-oriented with the objective of bringing real-life perspectives alongside giving a robust conceptual foundation to the students. The curriculum is designed in consultation with the industry to ensure that the curriculum is in line with the current Industry practices and requirements.

The program will be delivered through a learner-centric approach using various pedagogical tools including case studies, and hands-on training on widely used databases and software like, Bloomberg, Prowess, and others. NISM, with its proximity to the policy-makers and the industry, draws upon the cream of academia and industry providing cutting-edge inputs in the securities markets domain.

Lectures and hands-on workshop sessions will be conducted by eminent faculty, industry leaders and experts. Students will gain inputs and industry insights from a team of academicians, market experts, and policymakers. There will also be regular interactions with practicing professionals.

The learning environment is further stimulated by an industry interface, finance lab with modern technological infrastructure, state-of-the-art campus, extensive library and other recreation facilities, book reviews, films related to Wall Street and experience-sharing sessions with industry experts complement the learning process.

Industry Interface

The Institute also organizes visits to exchanges/depositories/market intermediaries etc. providing exposure to the industry paradigm. NISM also invites a number of practitioners from the industry to interact with the participants to share their experiences. These platforms provide opportunities for the participants to develop keen insights into Industry practices and nuances.

 Bloomberg Terminal

Participants will have an opportunity to get hands-on experience in financial data analysis and market research. The Bloomberg terminal, which is widely used by financial professionals around the world is available at the NISM library. Students learn to navigate the Bloomberg platform, access real-time financial data, and perform in-depth analysis of market trends and securities.

Extensive Library

The Institute boasts one of the biggest specialized libraries for Finance, which holds a rich collection of over 10000 books on securities markets, domestic and international magazines, newspapers, journals, etc. Through Science-Direct, the library provides access to all leading academic journals in Finance, Economics, Business, and Management.

 State-of-the-art Campus

NISM’s campus at Patalganga spread over 72 acres of land on the scenic Mumbai-Pune Expressway has state-of-the-art infrastructure that creates an ideal environment conducive for contemplative learning. The eco-friendly campus is Wi-Fi enabled and features well-equipped classrooms, a modern auditorium, and a vast amphitheater. The campus also has impressive residential blocks with separate hostel facilities for male and female participants.

Recreation Facilities

The participants enjoy the luxury of modern recreation facilities like a swimming pool, squash court, gymnasium with modern equipment, table tennis, badminton halls, yoga hall, cafeteria etc., The recreation blocks pose a refreshing environment offering a balance to the academic rigor of the program.

 Placement Facilitation

NISM’s closely connected with the industry will act as an enabler to facilitate the placement of students. The institute assists placement of the participants by inviting reputed organizations in the investment and securities markets domain to the campus placement drive. The participants are groomed to perform challenging and exciting roles in the investment and securities markets. The alumni of various other programs offered by NISM have been inducted into the following organizations through the campus placement program:

Admission Process

Eligibility

• Post Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
OR
• Graduate in any discipline with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university in India.

Selection Criteria Selection to the Program will be through the screening of applications based on Academic records including professional experience/ qualification, extra curriculum activities, and prior experience. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview. Candidates qualified in the online interviews will be admitted.

How to apply?

Candidates willing to apply should first register themselves at https://apply.nism.ac.in/pgpism-application-form

 Step 1: New Registration: Upon successful registration, a User ID and Password will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number of the candidate.

Step 2: Application process: Thereafter, candidates are required to log in and complete the application process by paying the application fee. After making the payment of the application fee of Rs. 500/- the candidates may submit their application.

Sponsored Candidates

Organizations willing to sponsor candidates may approach us directly at apu@nism.ac.in. The employers should furnish an undertaking to grant study leave to the employee for one year. Following government/ autonomous organizations may also encourage their employees to pursue the PGPISM program:

  • Government Departments / Public Sector Undertakings
  • Public Companies or Trusts registered with SEBI
  • Banks / NBFCs recognized by RBI
  • Insurance Companies / Intermediaries recognized by IRDA

The tuition fee for the PGPISM is Rs. 200,000/- + GST (as applicable). The break-up of the fees is as follows:

(Residential charges will be collected for the Academic Year starting from June 02, 2025. Students are allowed to occupy the hostels one day before the start of the program. Students have to vacate the hostel after two days from the date of the last trimester examination.)
