Learning Hours and Access Period

This course has approximately 30 hours of learning content including real life case studies, animations, recent regulations/ resource documents, Market-related data and analysis, module quizzes. To complete the course, you will be given access to the course content for 2 years from the date of your registration. If you are not able to complete the course within the access period of 2 years, you can re-register for the course and start from the beginning.

Examination, Re-examination, and Certificate

Once you have completed the course modules, with a minimum gap of 30 days between course registration and examination, you are eligible to register for an online-proctored examination. These examinations are conducted on quarterly basis (March, June, September, and December). The duration of the examination is 2 hours with MCQs based questions and no negative marking. A minimum of 60% is required to pass the examination. Examination fee is Rs 2000 plus applicable taxes. If you fail in the examination in your first attempt, you can re-attempt by paying the re-examination fee of Rs. 2000 plus applicable taxes. The fee remains the same for subsequent attempts. The exam can be taken any time within the license period as per the pre-defined schedule. After successfully passing the examination, you will be able to download the course Certificate and will receive a digital badge. In case the license period expires, you have to re-register for the programme.

Certification validity and continuing education:

The certificate (conferred on successful course completion) is valid for three years. Candidates are required to obtain six credits, i.e. complete 6 hours of online refresher course to renew their certificate every three years.

The course is a completely self-paced online learning programme with human voice over, clickable interactivities, animations, additional reading material and knowledge checks to assess users. The modules can be bookmarked to enable quick access in the future.

Access to the e-learning topics will be provided through email from NISM. After you purchase the course, you will receive an email within 48 hours for the access of the course. Using the credentials (Email and Password) used during registration for the course, you can login to access the course.

11. How much time will it take to complete the NISM & CRISIL Certified ESG Risk Analyst course?
All the modules within the course will require about 30 learning hours. They can be bookmarked to enable quick access in future.

12. How frequently is the content updated?

15. What is the duration of each module?
The duration of a module ranges from 2 to 5 hours. However, study hours will vary for every individual. You need not complete a module in one go. Module content is auto-bookmarked, and you may choose to pick up from where you left off.

16. How many times can I access the modules?
The modules can be accessed online any number of times for two years from the date of enrolment.

17. Are any learning materials, printouts, or books provided as part of the course reading material?
No. However, there are resource documents within the modules for additional reading.

18. What is the exam schedule?
The exams are scheduled every quarter—March, June, September, and December. The dates for the exam will be rolled out a month in advance. Those wishing to take the exam must make their payments at least 15 days before the exam date. The minimum study period for the course is one month, meaning there must be a gap of at least one month between registration and the exam. All 7 course modules must be completed before registering for the exam.

19. How will the exam be conducted and what will be the exam duration?
The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and multiple-response questions (MRQs). It will be conducted online and proctored via your laptop/desktop webcam. The exam duration will be three hours.

20. What if a candidate does not clear the exam?
The candidate will need to re-attempt the examination. The examination fee is required for each attempt.

21. How many attempts are allowed?
Exams can be taken at any time within the license period of the content, as per the predefined schedule. After the expiry of the license period, the candidate can re-register for the program.

22. What is the passing percentage?
The passing percentage is 60%.

23. Is there negative marking for wrong answers?
No.

24. What will be the format for exam scores?
Exam scores will be listed in percentages.

25. What is the eligibility criteria for the course?
A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent cumulative grade point average (CGPA).

26. What are the renewal requirements for the certification program?

– Continuing Education (CE): Candidates are required to obtain six points, i.e., complete six hours of online learning to renew their certification every three years.
– Renewal Fee: A renewal fee of Rs 3,000 (exclusive of taxes) will be levied for an online refresher course and certificate re-validation.

27. Do I get placement opportunities/support?
NISM & CRISIL does not provide active placement support. However, the course is designed to provide strong theoretical and practical insights into ESG concepts, which can enhance career opportunities in areas such as investment research, advisory, and relationship management.

28. What is the cancellation policy?
Once registered for the course, there will be no cancellations.

32. How long does it take to provide course access after successful registration?
Course access is provided within 7 working days after successful registration and payment.
