The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

The School for Regulatory Studies and Supervision (SRSS) of National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) conducted a Training Programme on “Trading in Equities and Equities Derivatives-The Hands-on Experience Through Trading Simulator” for SEBI Officers. The programme was conducted in three batches.

The training for the first batch was held on August 22-23, the second batch from August 25-26 and the third batch from August 29-30,2022.

The training program included sessions on introduction to Exchange Microstructure, Clearing and Settlement system, types of orders, overview of equity derivatives, derivative strategies, etc. The sessions were held in simulation lab where the participants got hands on experience. 134 officers from SEBI participated in the training program
