The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

The First batch (2024-25) of the CSMC Executive program was inaugurated by the Director, NISM Shri Sashi Krishnan in the presence of the Director, Directorate of Academics, ICSI, Dean, Faculty Members, and senior officials, of NISM on July 18, 2024.

Dean (Academics), Dr. Rachana Baid welcomed the students, their parents, other faculty members, Senior officials, staff members, and guests and congratulated the students for joining this  Course.

CS Lakshmi Arun, Director of the Directorate of Academics at ICSI, emphasized the importance of staying focused on the dual objectives of passing CS examinations and gaining knowledge and skills in the securities markets.

Shri Sunil Kadam, Registrar, NISM spoke about acquiring the necessary soft skills and communication skills to excel in the compliance role in the financial markets.

Shri Sashi Krishnan, Director, NISM in his speech discussed how compliance specialists’ roles as business facilitators are evolving. He also highlighted the growing importance of technology in compliance-related roles and the need to learn it.

Faculty Members, senior officials, and students introduced themselves during the occasion. The students, coming from most of the states and UTs, provide an eclectic mix.

Program Director, Dr. Rajesh Kumar proposed the Vote of Thanks.
