NISM-Series-V-B: Mutual Fund Foundation Certification Examination
NISM/Certification/Series-V-B: MFF/2020/01 dated July 28, 2020
SEBI Vide Circular No. CIR/IMD/DF/21/2012 dated September 13, 2012, specified the NISM-Series-V-B: Mutual Fund Foundation Certification Examination as the requisite standard for “a new cadre of distributors including, postal agents, retired government and semi-government officials (class III and above or equivalent) with a service of at least 10 years, retired teachers with a service of at least 10 years, retired bank officers with a service of at least 10 years, and other similar persons (such as Bank correspondents) as may be notified by AMFI/AMC from time to time, allowed to sell units of simple and performing mutual fund schemes”.
Accordingly, the NISM-Series-V-B: Mutual Fund Foundation Certification Examination, offered by NISM, was launched on January 14, 2013. This examination has been updated yearly for product and regulatory changes. In order to incorporate market and regulatory changes, NISM has updated the NISM-Series-V-B: Mutual Fund Foundation Certification Examination.
The updated NISM-Series-V-B: Mutual Fund Foundation Certification Examination will be launched with effect from September 24, 2020.
The NISM-Series-V-B: Mutual Fund Foundation Certification Examination with its current content (as per the existing test objective and workbook) will be available to the candidates till September 23, 2020 and will be replaced by the updated examination (as per the revised test objectives and workbook) from September 24, 2020.
